Through previous blogs, I have told you about our Organic Gardening! We have been doing an experiment with a Carrot Box, in which all teams will have one box to grow carrots and radishes. Whichever team has the most weight in carrots and radishes.... (Uganda 1, Uganda 2, South Africa, Swaziland, and Nicaruagua) gets $200 dollars for their outreach missions trip Nov. 14th-20th! We have written bible verses on our box, and played them music every night :) hahaha. However, it seems to be working really well and I think we actually might work! Here they are!

This last week, we have been doing ministry throughout the city of Matamoros, and one of the places we stopped was at a family's house in the country. One mother, and seven kids lived there, in a house about 12x12ft. Our mission was to build them an outhouse, because they had been using bushes near by before. Our first task was to dig two large holes in the ground, to hold the waste.  However, we underestimated our workload.  The ground is hard, and the dirt is more like clay, it is very thick and takes a lot of effort to get a few inches into the ground. We ended up digging two holes about 4ft deep, and after four hours of digging, our hands, arms, and bodies were very sore. Here are a few pictures from the day.

diggin in the dirt!

Some of the group and the family watching the process! (Im off to the right digging in the holes!)

I hope you have enjoyed some of the pictures! I will write again soon! God Bless you All!

In Christ,
Alison
